Welcome!
Hello everyone, and welcome to my e-portfolio, a testament of who I am, what I do, and some of my biggest accomplishments! I'm Hayden Lechner, a recent UCLA graduate from Exeter, New Hampshire double-majoring in Economics and Environmental Science and minoring in Environmental Engineering.
For as long as I can remember, I have been in love with the outdoors. As a little kid, I spent my time riding my bike around the driveway, gardening with my mom, digging in the sandbox, or climbing the trees in the woods out back. As I've grown older, the activities I partake in outdoors have certainly changed, but my love for nature has not. Some of my favorite actives now include hiking, running, camping, playing lacrosse, going to the beach, and skiing.
In recent years, my gratitude for these activities and the environments they take place in has grown a great deal. However, so has my concern that environmental crises such as climate change and air pollution are going to irreversibly affect opportunities to enjoy them. This is a reality I am not prepared to live with. That's why I am determined to create positive change.
